Jasbir Singh Gill, also known as Dimpa, is a famous Indian politician of the Indian National Congress (INC), Businessperson, Agriculturist, social worker, and Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Khadoor Sahib (Punjab) Constituency. He was born on 8 November 1968 (age 53 years according to 2021) in Rayya, Amritsar, Punjab, India. His father’s name is Late Shri Sant Singh Liddar (former member of Punjab legislative assembly) and his mother’s name is Satwiinder Kaur Gill. His educational qualification is Graduation from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. His religion belongs to Sikhism and Nationality, Indian. He married Smt. Ramanbir Kaur Gill and has two children one son named Gursant Updesh Singh Gill and one daughter named Santdeep Gill.
Jasbir Singh Gill started his political career as Sarpanch of Lidhar village of Punjab in 1982 for almost 15 years. After that, he served as the president of the Punjab youth congress from 1997-1999 and as General Secretary of the Indian youth congress from 1999-2005. In 2002, took his father’s place as he was elected to the Punjab Legislative Assembly from Beas constituency, and then in 2019, he contested and won the 17th Lok Sabha representing Khadoor Sahib (Punjab) Constituency with which he became a member of the Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice and member of Consultative Committee, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. He has been awarded a Silver medal in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award for increasing health awareness.
