Heena Sidhu is an International professional Indian shooter who won many medals for India. Heena is the first Indian women Pistol shooter to be ranked at World Number 1 by ISSF, she won a gold medal for the first time in pistol shooting in the 2013 ISSF World Cup event in 10m Air pistol. Heena becomes the third Indian to win a gold medal in Rifle/Pistol shooting event after Anjali Bhagwat and Gagan Narang. She was born on 29 August 1989 in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. She completed her graduation in BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) in the year of 2013. His father Mr. Rajbir Sidhu was also a national level shooter and he completely supports his daughter to learn shooting and win medals for India. She started her practicing for Shooting in 2006 when she was in 12th standard. She won a silver medal in the Women 10m Air Pistol Team event at the 2010 Asian Games held in Guangzhou, China. She won a silver medal in ISSF World Cup 2009 in Beijing. Heena was conferred the prestigious Arjuna Award,on 28 August 2014 by President of India. She has a huge fan following in India as well as in abroad also. She is also a member of shooting squad in 2016 Rio Olympics but she fails to qualify for the finals in both the events, she finished in 14th place in 10m air pistol and 2oth in 25-meter pistol.
