Lal Shriniwas Patil took the oath as the 17^th Governor of Sikkim and joined office on 1^st July 2013. Shriniwas Dadasaheb Patil was born in the year 1941 (11^th February). Before being the governor of Sikkim, he represented the Karad constituency of Maharashtra state and was the member of the National Congress Party.  He was the member of 13^th and 14^th Lok Sabha of India. Prior to everything, he was also an Indian Administrative Officer.
