Candeth who entered the office on 19th December 1961 and left it on 6th June 1962. The present Governor of Goa is Mridula Sinha who entered the office on 26th August 2014. She was a member of the national executive of BJP until August 2014. During BJP’s Campaign for 2014 general elections, she was in charge of the BJP Mahila Morcha. On August 25th, 2014 she was appointed as the Governor of Goa. She was also appointed as an ambassador for the Swach Bharat Abhiyan by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.
