Gitaben Vajesingbhai Rathva started her political career as a Member of Zila Panchayat, Vadodara, Gujarat for 1995 – 2000 and then Member of Zila Panchayat and Leader of Opposition, Vadodara, Gujarat for 2000 – 2005, Vice-President of Zila Panchayat, Vadodara, Gujarat for 2005-2010, President of Health Committee for 2010 – 2013, President of Women and Child Development, Vice-President of Zila Panchyat Chhotaudepur, Gujarat and Member of Zila Panchyat Chhotaudepur, Gujarat for 2015 – 2019.
