Giridhari Yadav is a famous Indian politician of the Janata Dal (United), Agriculturist, Social Worker, and Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Banka (Bihar) Constituency. He was born on 14 Apr 1961 (age 60 years according to 2021) in Barondhiya, Distt. Jamui (Bihar), India. His father’s name is Late Shri Dhano Yadav and his mother’s name is Smt. Jagti Devi. His educational qualification is M.A., LL.B. from Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur (Bihar), and Dr. Hari Singh Gaur University, Sagar (Madhya Pradesh). His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, India. He married Smt. Sumitra Devi on 27 May 1976 and has three children two sons and one daughter. He loves Cinema, Music, Yoga, and Assistance to poor children.
Giridhari Yadav started his political career as a youth coordinator in Indian Youth Congress from 1983-to 1985. Later he joined Janata Dal (United) and was first elected to the Member of Bihar Legislative Assembly form Katoria, Bihar in 1995-96, 2000-2004, 2010-2019 and elected to the 11th Lok Sabha, re-elected to the 14th Lok Sabha (2nd term) and 17th Lok Sabha (3rd term) represented Banka (Bihar) in 1996. Currently, he is serving as a member of the Committee on Ethics, a member of the Consultative Committee, the Ministry of Steel, and a member of the Standing Committee on Labour, Textiles, and Skill Development. He is also part of social and cultural activities as he is actively involved in social work, upliftment of the downtrodden, and assistance to the needy poor and weaker sections of the society, a lead revolution in Bihar for farmers and socially and economically backward sections, Farmer movement against misuse of local dam water.
