He was born on 2 July 1962 (age 59 years according to 2021) in Khamaria, Distt. Satna, Madhya Pradesh, India. His father’s name is Shri Kamal Bhan Singh and his mother’s name is Smt. Phoolmati Singh. His educational qualification is M.A., LL.B. from Awadesh Pratap Singh University, Rewa and Law College, Satna, Madhya Pradesh. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He married Smt. Mona Singh and has two sons. He loves to watch old films, play with children, visit historical places and gather information about them, study political history, biographies of great Indians, Studying learning and farming.
Ganesh Singh started his political career as a Member of Zila Parishad of Satna in 1995 – 1900 and was appointed to the Chairperson of Zila Parished, Satna for 1999 – 2004. In 2004, he was first elected to the 14th Lok Sabha Satna (Madhya Pradesh) Constituency and consecutive re-elected to the 15th Lok Sabha (2nd term), 16th Lok Sabha (3rd term) from the same Constituency. In between he was appointed to the Chairperson of Committee on Welfare of Other Backward Classes, Chairperson of Joint Committee on the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Second Amendment) Bill, 2015. Since 2019, he is serving as a member of the 17th Lok Sabha (4th term), Chairperson of Committee on Welfare of Other Backward Classes, and was made a member of Standing Committee on Labour, Committee of Privileges, and Consultative Committee, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change.
