His educational qualification is M.B.B.S.from Govt. Medical College, South Gujarat University, Surat. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He married Smt. Ramniben Patel on 17 May 1967 and has two children one son and one daughter. He has been visited Belgium, Denmark, France, U.A.E., and U.K.
Dr. K.C. Patel started his political career as a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party and was first appointed as a member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly from 1995 – 1998. He has been State Minister of Health, Family Welfare and Tribal Development, Govt. of Gujarat for 1996 - 1998. In 2014, he has elected to the 16th Lok Sabha from Valsad (Gujarat) Constituency and was re-elected to the 17th Lok Sabha (2nd term) from the same constituency. Currently, he is appointed as a member of the Committee on Estimates, a member of the Standing Committee on External Affairs, and a member of the Consultative Committee, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. He has been working at the position of District Vice President of B.J.P. for 1985-1988, District Secretary of B.J.P. for 1988-1991, Chairman of K. C. Patel Vidhya Sankul - Golapur, Patan, and State Council Member of B.J.P. for 1991-1994 and 2002-2005.
