His educational qualification is Diploma in Civil Engineering, I.A. from Government Polytechnic, Saharsa, and C.M. Science College, Madhepura, Bihar. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, India. He married Smt. Renu Sinha. He has a special interest in Social work and local area development, the use of scientific inventions in rural areas,s and making available of latest equipment and infrastructure.
Dinesh Chandra Yadav started his political career as a Vice-President of Zila Yuva Janata party Saharasa for 1977-79 and then General Secretary of Zila Lok Dal Party, Saharasa for 1980-85. In 1990, he was elected to the Member of Bihar Legislative Assembly from Simri Bakhtiarpur constituency and appointed to the Deputy Chief Whip of Bihar Legislative Assembly in 1991. In 996, he was elected to the 11th Lok Sabha in 1996, re-elected to 13th Lok Sabha (2nd term) from Saharsa constituency, re-elected to the 15th Lok Sabha (3rd term) and 17th Lok Sabha (4th term) from Madhepura constituency. He is also part of social and cultural activities as he is providing educational assistance to the helpless children; making efforts for cleanliness and availability of portable water in rural areas; and training for the development of Mithila music and local religious places (Ugra Tara Temple, Mahisi, Mandan Bharti Dham, Mahisi and Karu Khirharisthan, Mahpura, Saharsa). He is also a Senior Leader of JDU.
