He started his career in Journalism with THE ILLUSTRATED WEEKLY OF INDIA. Before joining television news, he was a correspondent for THE SUNDAY TIMES OF INDIA in New Delhi. He was the first news presenter to anchor the first- ever hour-long Hindi debate show on television, MUQABLA on NDTV India. Muqabla won the Best Talk Show Award, at the Indian Television Academy Awards 2006. It was the first time a Hindi chat show had won such an award in a category which consisted mostly English Shows. Dibang is one of the finest TV anchor Media Industry has, he has won many awards for his Anchoring and Documentaries. As dibang likes to act, he also acted in an Italian Film directed by Italo Spinelli. He has worked for several foreign television networks, including SBS and ABC of Australia, NHK of Japan and RAI. Dibang has his interest in acting also, worked in Bollywood movies such as Madras Café, in which he played the role of an ex-RAW agent and acted in the Movie PINK. A graduate of Delhi University, he was born and bought up in Arunachal Pradesh in north-east India. Among his interests are World Music, Literature and World Cinema.
