Dharambir Singh is a famous Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Farmer, Social Service, and Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Constituency. He was born on 5 March 1955 (age 66 years according to 2021) in Talu, Bhiwani, Haryana, India. His father’s name is Shri Bhalle Ram and his mother’s name is Smt. Phoolpati. His educational qualification is a Bachelor of Arts from Kurukshetra University. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He married Manju Devi on 11 Dec 1982 and has two sons and two daughters. He has a special interest in Agriculture and Rural Development.
Dharambir Singh started his political career as a Chairman of Block Samiti from 1985 – 1987. In 1987, he was made a member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly for four terms (1987-1991 & 2000-2014). In the same year, he was appointed as a Cabinet Minister of Govt. of Haryana. In May 2014, he was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha with which he became a member of the Standing Committee on Defence and a member of the Consultative Committee, Ministry of Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation. He was re-elected to 17th Lok Sabha (2nd term) and became a member of Committee on Estimates, Standing Committee on Human Resource Development, Committee on Absence of Members from the Sittings of the House, Consultative Committee, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, and Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth, and Sport. He is also related to Sports and Clubs as he has been State President of Handball Association, Haryana for 1987-1996, President of Haryana Swimming association (for 15 years), and President of Haryana Olympic Association (for 1 year).
