Dear Sir / Madam,

SUB:- Non-Functional Judiciary – Rise of Criminals – Plight of Ordinary Citizens.

Our successive governments have systematically choked the judiciary. As a result our Justice Delivery systems has failed miserably to deliver justice to ordinary citizen.

Take the example of Bombay High Court. Lakhs of Civil cases of ordinary citizen are lying pending for years in PROVISIONAL BOARDS awaiting judges for years to take them up. In the meantime the litigant dies awaiting justices and the goondas, land grabbers, criminals (may be politicians) keep on enjoying the properties of law abiding citizen. After paying hefty court fees from their life savings, litigants will have to mention the urgency of their case before judges. If the judge is convinced, he / she will take up the case on regular board. Otherwise the case just rots in the provisional board. Question is, if there was / is no urgency – why then the poor litigants have come to the court by paying hefty court fees from their life savings ? As a result pending cases mount and our justice delivery system fails. Will this not ultimately make dictatorship attractive for these ordinary deprived people ?

Are we just cash cows for successive governments ? They collect so much money from us in various ways. What basic amenities they give us ?

Could you kindly initiate a campaign against this rotten justice delivery system of ours, which favors the rich. If Congress party looted us, does that automatically give a right to the BJP party to loot ? What about us, the voters ? Are we destined to get looted, which ever political party comes to power ?

Overseas Medics of Ireland is fighting long for equal rights of Indian and other non EU doctors in Ireland. Not only the Indian doctors were stripped of any training rights by Ireland but institutional discrimination against Indian doctors are widespread. Though current Irish health minister agreed to make some legal changes in Ireland to facilitate the entry of non EU doctors in training jobs but Irish Post graduate institutions like Royal College of Physicians ( RCPI) did notshow any sympathy to those non EU doctors including Indian doctors
RCPI has big financial interest in India as they conduct examinations in India but they purely use Indian doctors as cashcows. The RCPI and Irish health organisations are happy for Indian doctors to work in service grade jobs in Ireland but disagree to offer any training jobs .
On the contrary the UK Royal Colleges showed much more sympathy and maturity and provided much more facilities to Indian doctors including training jobs
OMI wrote to Irish health minister the following letter for justice
Please raise the issue in Indian media for better awareness and justice which is still elusive in 21st century in a developed country like Ireland

Open letter to the Minister for Health, Dr Leo Varadkar
Dear Minister Varadkar,
First of all, Overseas Medics of Ireland (OMI) would like to express its gratitude for your decision to amend the Medical Practitioners Act to make all competent non-EU doctors eligible for training jobs from 2016.
However, in this regard, OMI would like to raise some issues for your kind attention. You mentioned that the amendment proposals would be tabled in January 2016 in the Irish Parliament, but we are unsure when the amendment would come into effect. There is a lot of speculation over this, which seems to be sending mixed signals to non-EU doctors.
The specialist training jobs (BST/HST) application for July 2016 intake has been officially declared in the Royal College’s websites. The application deadline for Medicine related specialities and subspecialties finish in November, 2015.
Although you made it clear that the new amendments would come into effect definitely in 2016 (we do hope before July 2016) when the training jobs would start, the Royal Colleges like the RCPI declined to accept applications from non-EU doctors of certain countries as those doctors were ineligible for the trainee specialist division.
We informed the RCPI of the planned changes, so that they could accept applications provisionally, as it is very likely that the new rules would come into effect before July 2016. If that does not happen then the RCPI could turn down the applications of successful non-EU candidates.
However, for unclear reasons, the RCPI did not entertain the idea and even declined to acknowledge the training those hapless non-EU doctors did in ‘non-training’ jobs. Interestingly, the UK Royal Colleges not only agreed to give equivalence certificate to those non-EU trainees but also agreed to accept such applications even for superspecialty training.
OMI finds the decision of the RCPI not to accept training post applications for 2016 intake and denying training credit to this cohort of non-EU doctors unfortunate and disappointing. OMI is certain this decision of the RCPI would trigger a further exodus of talented and ambitious non-EU doctors, especially from India and Pakistan, to the UK and other countries.
Ultimately the unsuspecting Irish people will be deprived of the service of these doctors.
It is always good to say and try to be self-sufficient as a country in terms of one’s medical workforce, but that is clearly not the case in Ireland.
Until that happens OMI strongly thinks treating non-EU doctors who served Ireland during the crisis in this way — like trying to keep them away from training jobs and even preventing applications — is unacceptable.

TODAY between 6.45 PM and 7.00 PM there is a discussion in CNN IBN on IIT/NIT dropouts. The professor participated in the discussion is not revealing the truth. The truth is that there is lot of discrimination against Reserved category candidates in awarding the marks. There is no check on this. The IIT Madras outcome is the best example of this discrimination.
My friends both sons are studying in NIT and IIT. Now he is repenting for joining them in IIT/NIT instead ordinary ENGG College where everybody’s average marks is 70 to 90%. Here they have to end up with 45 to 55%.
The degree awarded by NIT/IIT is not either useful for higher studies or employment.
Campus selections limited. More than 75 pass outs are on the roads for employment which is pathetic. Kindly interview the affected People not Professors.
