Chitra Tripathi is one of the popular journalists in Indian Media. She is also a producer and scriptwriter. She was born on 11 May 1986 in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Chitra did her schooling from A. D. Govt. Girls Inter College, Gorakhpur and college from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur. She has done Post Graduation in Defence Studies. In her post-graduation days, she wanted to be in the Indian Army. But later on, she changed her mind to be a Journalist when she worked at Doordarshan Centre for some time in Gorakhpur.
Chitra then decided to move to Delhi and there she worked at Sahara India. After that, she joined other news channels like India News, News 24, and ETV Network. After these News Channels, she joined ABP News in 2016. There she hosted popular shows like ‘2019 Kaun Jeetega’, ‘Kaun Banega Mukhiyamantri’ and ‘Modi Ke 4 Saal’. She also hosted a popular weekly show named ‘Press Conference'. Later on, she joined Aaj Tak on 11 February 2019, after resigning from ABP News. She joined as the Deputy Editor and Anchor and also hosted the show ‘Desh Tak.’
