Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu is a politician, senior leader and Minister for Panchayat Raj from the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. He was born on September 4, 1957, in Velama Community Family at 4th Ward, Velama Street, Narsipatnam in the Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh to Late. Ch. Varahalu Dora. He completed his graduation by earning a bachelor's degree in Arts in 1978 from PR Government College, Kakinada. He is currently serving as a Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural water supply and NREGS in the government of N. Chandrababu Naidu in Andhra Pradesh representing Narsipatnam Assembly Segment Constituency. During his term as a politician, he held various positions under different minister that are given below: As a Member of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 1983 to 1985, as a Member of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 1985 to 1989, as a Member of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 1994 to 1999, again as a Member of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 1999 to 2003, as a Member of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 2004 to 2009 and this term as a Member of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Water Supply and NREGS from 2014 to 2019. He took his oath as a Cabinet Minister on June 8, 2014. He was elected various times to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Narsipatnam Constituency in Visakhapatnam district and once as a member of the Lok Sabha from Anakapalli Constituency in Visakhapatnam district. He was elected to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from the Narsipatnam constituency on the Telugu Desam Party ticket for six terms. He became a cabinet minister in the cabinets of N.T. Rama Rao and N. Chandrababu Naidu, holding portfolios of Panchayat Raj (2014-19), Technical Education (1984-86), Forests (1999-2004) and Roads, Buildings and ports (1994-96).
