Central University of Gujarat is located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The Central University of Gujarat was established by the Parliament, Central Universities Act, 2009 by Government of India. On March 3rd, 2009 the Central University of Gujarat came into existence. The motive of the university is to give higher and pertinent education to each and every student. There are 8 schools under Central University of Gujarat namely, (School of Social Sciences, School of International Studies, School of Language, Literature & Culture Studies, School of Chemical Sciences, School of Life Sciences, School of Environment and Sustainable Development, Centre for Nano Sciences and Centre for Library and Information Science). The University administration is very strict on ragging and takes it very seriously. The placement record of Central University of Gujarat has been good till now. Gujarat is a well known state in India and it is will connected by road rail. So reaching the Central University of Gujarat is not a difficult task. The University also takes the women security very seriously. The Chancellor of the Central University of Gujarat (CUG) is Prof. Y K Alagh. The Vice-Chancellor of the University is Prof. R.K. Kale.
Central University of Gujarat offers postgraduates and Ph.D programmes to the students. Some of the courses offered by the university are M.A. (in various streams), M.Phil/PhD (in various streams), M.Sc. (in Industrial Chemistry) and many more. The facilities which are being provided by the university to the students are Library, Hostels, Canteen and many more.
