Brij Lal is a famous Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party, I.P.S. (Retd.), Social Worker and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), the upper house of the Indian Parliament from the state of Uttar Pradesh. He was born on 17 November 1954 (age 67 years according to 2021) in Siddharth Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, India. His father’s name is Late Shri Chulhai and his mother’s name is Late Shrimati Murti Devi. His educational qualification is B.Sc., M.Sc.( Maths) educated at Allahabad University, Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh). His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He is married to Shrimati Saroj Prasad on 22 February 2012 and has three children one son and two daughters.

He has been Served as an S.P./S.S.P. in 10 districts of Uttar Pradesh, Joint Secretary to Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh; D.I.G., P.A.C., D.I.G. training, D.I.G. range Agra, Chief Security Commissioner/D.I.G., I.G., R.P.F. of North Eastern Railway, Gorakhpur for 1996-03, I.G.P. Law and Order of Uttar Pradesh for 2003-05, I.G./Director of Traffic, Uttar Pradesh for 2004 – 06, Additional D.G.P./ Director Traffic, 2007, A.D.G./Special D.G.P Law and Order, Crime, S.T.F., A.T.S. and public grievances, Uttar Pradesh, 2007 – 11, Spokesperson of Government of Uttar Pradesh for 2007 – 11 and on any positions. He has been awarded President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service and President's Police Medal for Gallantry. In 2012, he retired from his I.P.S. and joined politics as a candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party and was first appointed to the Chairman Uttar Pradesh, S.C./S.T.
