Vijender Singh Beniwal popularly known as Vijender Singh is an Indian professional Boxer and was born on 29th October 1985 in Kaluwas, Haryana, India. In his professional career, he has fought a total of 12 fights and won all the 12 fights. He is married to Archana Singh and the couple is blessed with 2 sons- Abir and Amrik Singh.
In the 2008 Olympic Games, he won the Bronze medal for the nation, in 2009 World Championship; he again won the Bronze medal for the country. In the 2006 and 2014 Commonwealth Games, he won the Silver medal for the country and Bronze medal in the 2010 Commonwealth Games. In the 2006 Asian Games, he won the Bronze medal and in 2010s Asian Games, Vijender won the Gold Medal for the first time. In 2009, he won the Bronze medal for the nation.
Vijender tried his hands in acting and made his Bollywood debut with the movie Fugly opposite Kiara Advani and Angad Bedi; the movie failed at the box office, and he never did any movie again.
He joined the Indian National Congress in 2019 and was given the ticket for South Delhi Lok Sabha Seat but unfortunately, he lost the election due to insufficient votes.
