Forgot/Reset Password User Guide for the Trade Monitoring System

If you are unable to log into your Trade Monitoring System account, this guide provides step-by-step instructions to reset your password or unlock your account. Follow these steps carefully to regain access.

Common Issues That Prevent Login

1. Incorrect Password or Username

  • Ensure you are entering the correct login credentials.

2. Password Expired

  • Passwords expire after 90 days, requiring a reset.

3. Account Locked

  • Locked due to five failed password attempts in a day.
  • Locked due to three failed password attempts within 15 minutes.

How to Reset Your Password

Step 1: Access the Password Reset Option

  1. Navigate to the login screen.
  2. Click the Forget Password? button.

Step 2: Provide Your Email

  1. Enter the email address associated with your account.
  2. Click the Reset Password button.
    • If you decide not to reset, click Back to Login to try entering another password.

Step 3: Confirm Password Reset

  1. A popup message will appear.
  2. Click Yes to confirm the password reset.
    • Click Cancel if you do not wish to proceed.

Step 4: Check Your Email

  1. You will receive an email containing your temporary password.
    • Check your inbox (and spam folder if necessary).

Step 5: Log In with the Temporary Password

  1. Return to the login screen.
  2. Enter your email address and the temporary password.
  3. Click Continue to proceed.

Step 6: Create a New Password

  1. On the Change Password form, create a new password that meets the system requirements:
    • Password rules will be displayed on the screen.
  2. Enter the new password in both fields and click Change Password.
  3. Your new password is saved, and you will be redirected to the home screen.

How to Unlock Your Account

If your account is locked, you will see one of the following error messages:

  • “Your account is locked due to multiple failed login attempts.”
