She is popularly known for her work in Telugu and Tamil language films. The actress took birth on 14th June 1986 in Andhra Pradesh, India. Initially, the Bindu started her career in Telugu films and later shifted to Tamil cinema. Madhavi father worked in a commercial tax department due to which she traveled several places before settling in Chennai. She completed her school education and graduation from Chennai. Bindu has a degree in Biotechnology from Vellore Institute of Technology.
Madhavi started modeling while she was in college and her first assignment was for Saravana Stores. Bindu had the desire to be an actress but her parents are strictly against her decision. In Chennai, Madhavi met Venkat Ram (Celebrity Photographer) for the shoot of her portfolio. She did several TV ads one of her ad for Tata Gold Tanishq gave her a change for the audition of her debut movie. She was selected for Telugu film Avakai Biryani directed by Sekhar Kammula. Her second film was Pokkisham (2009) where she was given supporting role. Her next release in the same year was Bumper Offer which was produced by Puri Jagannadh.
After doing Veppam (2011), the actress shifted her focus on Tamil film industry as she was getting better offers from there. Her Tamil film Kazhugu was among the biggest hits of its time. Jackson Durai, Pasanga 2, Savaale Samaali, Tamiluku En Ondrai Aluthavum, Desingu Raja, Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga and Sattam Oru Iruttarai were some of Bindu successful movies.
