Barun Chanda is also known as Barun was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. By profession, he is an actor and author. He did his schooling and college in Kolkata. In 1971, he makes his debut from a Bengali film Seemabaddha, which was directed by Satyajit Ray. The film was average at the box office. But after this, he didn’t appear in any films from over 20 years.
In 1992, he was seen in another Bengali film Hirer Angti, which was directed by Rituparno Ghosh. Then in 2004, he has seen Kalo Cheetah, which was directed by Satarupa Sanyal. He was seen in many films like Tolly Lights (2008), Antaheen (2009), Flop-E (2011), Laptop (2011), Sector V (2012), Hemlock Society (2012), Lootera (2013), Mishawr Rawhoshyo (2013), Chotushkone (2014), Roy (2015), Sohra Bridge (2016), Mentor (2016), Ebong Kiriti (2017), and Rupkothar Kahini (2018). Recently, he was seen Bengali film Bhobishyoter Bhoot (2019), which was directed by Anik Dutta. In 2019, he was seen in a POV film Rakkhosh, it was a Marathi short film. It was selected in Pune International Film Festival (PIFF), Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF), and the Orange City International Film Festival (OCIFF). He is also a writer and written many books like Coke, and etc. We hope to see him on the big screen as soon as possible.
