Bandi Sanjay Kumar is a famous Indian politician, Agriculturist, state President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of Telangana, MP from Karimnagar, and a Member of Parliament of India representing Karimnagar Constituency. He was born on 11 July 1971 (age 50 years according to 2021) in Karimnagar, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, India. His father’s name is Shri Narasimha Bandi and his mother’s name is Smt. Shakunthala Bandi. Bandi did his schooling at Sri Saraswathi Shishumandir Unnata paathashaala, in Karimnagar and his educational qualification is M.A. (Public Admn.) from Madurai Kamraj University. His religion belongs to Hinduism and nationality, Indian. He married Aparna on 11 Jul 1971 and has 2 sons. He has a great interest in reading books.
Bandi Sanjay Kumar was very active in politics from an early age. He was first joined Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh as a youth. After that from 1994 – 2003, he served as Director of the Karimnagar Co-operative Urban bank for two terms. He was also involved in the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha and also served in various capacities as the town’s General Secretary, town president, state executive member, state vice president, National Executive member, National Secretary and he was the in-charge of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Bandi Sanjay was a thrice municipal corporator (2005) from Karimnagar and contested for the Karimnagar Assembly segment in the 2014 and 2018 elections and lost to the TRS candidate Gangula Kamalakar. In the 2018 Assembly elections, Sanjay secured 66,009 votes from the Karimnagar Assembly segment. In 2019, he was elected to the 17th Lok Sabha for the first time. The BJP high command appointed him as President of Telangana BJP in 2020 and him as chief of Telangana BJP. He is also a board member of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) located at Bibinagar, Hyderabad, Telangana. Currently, he is a member of the Committee on Welfare of Other Backward Classes, a member of the Standing Committee on Urban Development, member of the Consultative Committee of, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs since 2019.
