Babu Banarasi Das University (BBDU) is a university in India which is situated in Lucknow, Uttar Pardesh (U.P.). It came in to existence by an Act (No. 25 of 2010) of State Legislature of Uttar Pardesh. Babu Banarasi Das University (BBDU) has been a StateP rivate University and UGC vide. It’s letter no 8-30/2010 (CPP-I/PU) dated 17 Feb, 2011 has empowered it to award degrees under section 22 of the UGC act 1956. The university is named after “Late Babu Banarasi Das JI” who was the Ex Chief Minister of Government of Uttar Pardesh.  The university has been founded in 1998. The founder of BBDU is Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta (MBA, LLB, PhD) who is also the Chancellor of Babu Banarasi Das University. The Vice Chancellor of BBDU is Prof. (Dr.) A.K. Mittal.

Babu Banarasi Das University (BBDU) offers lots of both undergraduates, postgraduates and Ph.D. programs to the students. The programs which are being offered by the university are B.Tech, M.tech, BBA, MBA, BCA, MCA, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Hotel Management, B.D.S., M.D.S., Architecture, Legal Studies, B.ED. and many more.
