Ashutosh born on 15th February. 1964 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. This 53 years old man is a Director, Producer, Writer, Actor. His parents are Father Ashok and mother Kishori Gowariker, and his family belongs to Kolhapur. Ashutosh is married to Sunita and the couple has 3 children- 1 daughter and 2 sons. The director is mainly known to make big budget ancient backdrop movies. He made his direction debut with movie Pehla Nasha in 1993 starring Deepak Tijori, Raveena Tandon and Pooja Bhatt, in 1995 his second movie was Baazi starring Aamir Khan, Mamta Kulkarni, his third movie was the biggest blockbuster till date Lagaan starring Aamir Khan, Gracy Singh, Rachel Shelley, and Paul Blakthorne, his fourth movie starring Shah Rukh Khan and Gayatri Joshi was Swades in 2004, which didn’t impressed audiences but impressed the critics, his second movie came in 2008 on the backdrop of King Abhar and his wife Jodhaa starring Hritik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai and Sonu Sood, the name of the movie was Jodhaa Akbar, which was a big success. In 2009 his different concept movie came What’s Your Raashee? Starring Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra, which became a big flop due to lack of story, in 2010 again his movie was flop starring Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Sikander Kher, the title of the movie was Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey and his latest movie Mohenjo Daro starring Hrithik Roshan, Pooja Hegde, Kabir Bedi and Arunoday Singh, it was also a big flop, critics and audiences were disappointed with his movies. As a Producer Ashutosh has produced 5 movie which are Swades (2004), Jodhaa Akbar (2008), What’s Your Raashee? (2009), Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey (2010) and Mohenjo Daro (2016). He has acted in two Television shows named in 1991 in Circus and in 2014 in Everest. Gowariker has acted in several Films, in 1998 he made his acting debut with movie CID, he did his second movie a Haryanvi Film in Jaat in 1988, he did 2 more movies of different languages in Hindi movie Woh and in Marathi movie Sarkarnama, in 1994 he did 3 movie, Kabhi Haa Kbhi Naa, in Marathi movie Vazir, and in Hindi movie Goonj, and many more. He has shown his acting talent with and made impressed people by his direction skills. His movie Lagaan was nominated in the Best Foreign Language Film in 74th Academy Awards. His last movie as an Actor was Ventilator in 2016.
