Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU) was established in the year 2008 in the city of Patna, Bihar governed by Bihar University Act, 2008. It is affiliated to University Grants Commission (UGC) of India. The university provide undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Biotechnology, Space technology, Nano Technology, Missile Technology, Forestry Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Genetic Technology, Energy Technology, Remote Sensing Technology, Bio-Informatics, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Information Technology, Nuclear Power Technology, Micro-biology Technology, Rocketry Technology, Environmental Engineering and Energg Technology. There is a separate hostel for boys and girls within the campus.
