Arun Maharaj Kishen Jaitley known as Arun Jaitley, born in New Delhi, India, on 28^th December 1952 age 64 years. By profession, he is a Lawyer, Politician. Jaitley attended St. Xavier’s School, New Delhi. He did his graduation in B.Com from Shri Ram College of Commerce, New Delhi in 1973. In 1977, he got his degree in LLB from University of Delhi. From his college, he was interested in politics, Arun was the student leader of ABVP at Delhi University. After this, he became the President of University of Delhi of the Students Union in 1974. When in 1975-77 Internal Emergency took place Arun was under preventive detention for 19 months. In 1973 Arun was the leader of the movement launched by Raj Narain and Jayaprakash Narayan, a movement which was against corruption. Jaitley has married Sangeeta Jaitley on 24^th May 1982. The couple has two children, one son named Rohan who has done his graduation from Amity and Cornell University and one daughter named Sonali who has also done her graduation from Amity University. Arun was chosen as the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting on 13^th October, 1999 – 30^th September 2000 under Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, after this for the year 2003 -2004, he was the Minister of Law and Justice under Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, he was preceded by Manmohan Singh for the Leader Of the house in the Rajya Sabha on 26^th May 2014. In the year 2009 preceded by Jaswant Singh he was the leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Arun was chosen as the Minister of Information and Broadcasting on 9^th November,2014, became Minister of Corporate Affairs on 26^th May, 2014 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for period 13^th March, 2017 – 3^rd September 2017 he was the Minister of Defence under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, arun on 26^th Ma 2014 was chosen as Minister of Finance under leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
