Anjum Chopra is also known as Anjum was born on 20 May 1977 into a Hindu family in New Delhi, India. By profession, she is a former cricket player and Commentator. Her father Krishan BAL Chopra is a golfer and her mother Poonam Chopra is a homemaker and also, her maternal uncle Rohit Sahni is also a former cricketer.
Later, he became the captain of both Hindu College and Delhi University. She attended Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, New Delhi to complete her basic education. Later, he did her graduation in Human Resource & Marketing St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi and FORE School of Management, New Delhi. She represented the Indian Cricket team in both Test and One Day International (ODI).
She made her ODI debut against New Zealand at Christchurch in 1995. She gave 14 runs in her 4 overs. She was no. 10 batsman and had a crucial partnership of 11 runs to secure the victory for India. She makes her Test debut against England in Calcutta in November 1995. She scored 27 runs for her team. In 2000, she was the vice-captain of the Indian team in the Cricinfo World Cup and they lost in the semi-finals.
In 2002, she was the captain of the India team. In the 2005 world cup, India was in the finals for the first time against England and she was the top scorer. She is the first player to play 100 ODIs for India.
