After that in 2001, she entered in senior Indian women's national basketball team and played at the 19th FIBA Asia Championship for Senior Women held in Bangkok, Thailand, and the 20th FIBA Asia Championship for Senior Women held in Japan. In 2005 she has been part of the silver medal-winning basketball Indian team at the International Invitational Basketball Tournament, Malaysia, in the same year she represented India at the 21st FIBA Asia championship for Senior Women Qinhuangdao, China, and become the youngest ever to captain the Senior National Team and remain captain the national team for eight years.
She played at the Indian women's national team from 2000 to 2017. She is honored by many awards such as the best player award in 17th youth nationals at Vashi 2001, "Vikadan" award for golden captain 2016, and velayat Ratna award from news7 channel Tamil Ratna awards 2018 many more. Recently she was awarded Padma Shri in 2021.
