Anish Bhanwala is one of the youngest athletes of India as he started his playing career at the age of 11 and played at Modern Pentathlon World championship 2013 in Cyprus after that UIPM Asian Oceanic Championship in Beijing, China. He made his debut at the Commonwealth Shooting Federation Championship in the year 2017 in which he spotted the second position in the 25 m rapid fire pistol event. The same year, he bagged two gold, two silver, and a bronze medal at the Junior World Championships.
He came into the limelight when he was selected at 25m Rapid Fire Pistol in Common Wealth Games 2018(Officially Referred As-XXI Common Wealth Games) which was held at gold coast, Queensland, Australia. He became the youngest Indian athlete to win a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in 2018. He was part of the 2019 ISSF Junior World Cup which was held in Suhl where he claimed gold, a silver, and a bronze medal in the 25 m Rapid Fire Pistol, 25 m Standard Pistol Team, and 25 m Standard Pistol events. He made his senior debut at the 2019 ISSF World Cup held in New Delhi and is also known for his record of 588/600 in the qualification round and finish with 5th rank. He has been honored with the "Emerging Player of the Year" by Mahindra Scorpio TOISA in 2018.
