Anisa Sayyed is a famous Indian 25m pistol shooter. She was born on 22 September 1980 (age 41 years according to 2021) in Wai, Maharashtra, India. Her father’s name is Abdul Hameed Sayyed (a former club-level football player). She grew up with three siblings and she is the youngest among them. Anisa Sayyed started her shooting journey in her college life as she was awarded the best NCC shooter. She was part of the South Asian Games (formerly known as the South Asian Federation) in the year 2006 and won a gold medal. She won her first gold medal in the 25m pistol event in pair with Rahi Sarnobat and won individual gold in the 25m pistol event after a score of 776.5 at the Commonwealth Games, held in New Delhi, India in the year 2010. She represented India at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where she won silver in the 25 m events, bronze in the 2014’s Asian Games which was held in Incheon, South Kore, and silver in the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in the same year. In 2017, Anisa created a new national record after claiming a gold medal in the women's 25m air pistol at the National Shooting Championship Competition (NSCC). She ranked on the list of most popular Sports Shooters and also ranked in the list of famous celebrities born in India. She has also been worked for the Lady Hawabhai School as a primary teacher and for the Indian Railways as a Ticket-Collector on the busy Mumbai-Pune Railway route at Vile Parle railway station of Maharashtra.
