Angad Vir Singh Bajwa began his professional shooting career in 2012 at the age of 16. He represented Canada for a while he was pursuing his Graduation from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. He was once the youngest Canadian Open champion in 2014, a year before he returned to India. In 2015, he represented India at Asian Shooting Championships which was held in Kuwait City at Men's junior skeet and Men's junior team skeet where he won 2 gold medals for his Punjab state. In 2018, he won the gold medal at the National Shooting Championship in the skeet men’s event before making it big on an international stage. He became a national champion at the National Shotgun Championships. In the same year, after taking a hiatus from the sport due to illness, he won a bronze medal in the skeet men’s event at the World University Games. In 2019, Angad won Gold and Silver at the Asian Shooting Championships in Men’s Skeet Individual and Skeet Mixed Team respectively in Doha. His Gold Medal win at the event booked him an Olympics berth at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. He represented India in his debut Olympics. He is known for his world record of 60 out of 60 in Men’s skeet shooting at the Asian shotgun championship held in Kuwait City. This was India's first-ever gold medal in the skeet discipline in a continental or world-level tournament. He was also part of the ISSF world cup in the skeet team event in Cairo, Egypt where he won bronze and at the 2021 ISSF World Cup in New Delhi, Bajwa won three gold medals.
