Singh made his debut for the Indian national team in 2011 at the FIBA Asia Championship that he competed at the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship, 2014 FIBA Asia Cup, and 2015 FIBA Asia Championship. He has been part of the Gold medal-winning Indian team at the Lusofonia Games in 2014 India. In 2015, Amritpal Singh signed a one-year contract with Tokyo Excellence of Japan's National Basketball Development League (NBDL). In 2017, Singh was invited to join the Sydney Kings for Atlas Challenge 2017 tournament in China.
