He was born on 04 Mar 1957 (age 64 years according to 2021) in Jadopur Dukhaharan, Gopalganj, Bihar, India. His father’s name is Shri Jai Shri Ram and his mother’s name is Smt. Patia Devi. His educational qualification is M.B.B.S., M.S. (General Surgery) from Patna Medical College, Patna University, Patna, Bihar. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, India. He married Smt. Kumari Savita on 06 Aug 1989 and has two sons. He loves Flute-playing, reading books, watching Television, swimming, gardening, and farming.
Dr. Alok Kumar Suman started his career as a Medical Practitioner in which he got so much fame as he has successfully done around 15,000 surgeries and was appointed to the Medical Officer of Government of Bihar for 1990 – 2008, Chief Medical Officer of Government of Bihar, and Deputy Director of Government of Bihar for 2008 - 2010. After that, he was made a Member of the District Legal Service Authority (Gopalganj) for 2018 – 2019. In May 2019, he was appointed to the 17th Lok Sabha represented Gopalganj (Bihar) Constituency as a candidate of Janata Dal (United) with which he was made a member of Standing Committee on Coal and Steel, member of Standing Committee on Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, and member of Consultative Committee, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises. He is also the National Treasurer of JD (U).
