Akilan Pari is a famous Indian professional field basketball player. He was born on 20 July 1989 (age 32 according to 2021) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He did his schooling at C.S.I. Boys Higher Secondary School, Coimbatore, and graduation in B.Com (CS) at PSG College of Arts and Science. His religion belongs to Hinduism and nationality, Indian. His height is 178cm, 1.78m, 5 feet, and 10 inches. Pari plays Point guard position.
He started playing basketball in the year 2010. He first played at the state level as he captained Tamil Nadu's official state lineups for the u-13, u-16, and u-18 (junior) and senior men level. He became a member of India's national basketball team in 2014 and became captain of India's national basketball team in 2018. He was a member of India's national basketball team at the 2016 FIBA Asia Challenge in Tehran, Iran. He has won the second position in a Row winner of the prestigious 54th PSG trophy All-India Basketball tournament at Coimbatore. In 2009 he worked at ICF Indian railways and since 2011 he is working as Inspector of Income Tax, Govt. of India, Chennai at INCOME TAX DEPARTMENT, GOVT OF INDIA. He currently plays for the Punjab Steelers of India's UBA Pro Basketball League.
