Ajita Suchitra Veera is one of the most talented and finest Indian film director, film producer. She is also a writer, photographer, and illustrator. She learned illustration from her father. She was born in Hyderabad, India, her exact date of birth is not know in the media. She was born to Anjan Babu and Usha Rani. Her parents were working professionals. Her mother is a journalist, later she became a banker and her father is a professional Graphic designer, illustrator, and cartoonist.
After completing her schooling at Made Girls School, Hyderabad, India she earned her graduate degree from St. Ann's College Hyderabad from where she raised as a bright student. In 1999 she attended Central University Hyderabad, India, to pursue her dream profession which is cinema, she earned her Master’s degree in Theater Arts.
In 2000 she began her directorial career with a digital video in English language, Stereotype. In 2001 she directed her first Telugu film Anaganaga. Later she directed and wrote several short films such as Images, A Short Film and Life, A Day in a Studio, Chaos, Notes On Her, The Isle, and The Solitary. In 2003 her film Notes On Her made Oscar enter the Honorary Foreign Film category. In 2013 she rose to prominence when she directed, wrote, produced, her film Ballad of Rustom for which she won the Best Director Award at 12th Osian Cinefan in New Delhi.
