Ajay Kumar Mishra, known as ‘Tani’ is a famous Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Agriculturist, Industrialist, social worker, and Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Kheri (Uttar Pradesh) Constituency. He was born on 25 September 1960 (age 61 years according to 2021) in Banveer Pur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, India. His father’s name is Shri Ambica Parsad Misra and his mother’s name is Smt. Prem Dulari Misra. His educational qualification is B.Sc., LL.B. from Christ Church College and D.A.V. College Kanpur (Kanpur University). His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He married Smt. Puspa Misra on 11 Jun 1978 and has three children two sons and one daughter. He loves Travelling, Study of different cultures, Staging plays and Classical Music, Study of literary stories and Articles.
Ajay Kumar Mishra started his political career in 2012 as a candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party. He was first elected to Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Nighasan Constituency. After that, he was elected to 16th Lok Sabha from Kheri constituency in 2014 and re-elected to 17th Lok Sabha (2nd term) from the same constituency in 2019 with which he became a member of the Committee on Public Accounts, member of Standing Committee on Food, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, member of Committee on Absence of Members from the Sittings of the House, and member of Consultative Committee, Ministry of Food Processing Industries. Currently, he is appointed as a Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. He is also part of social activities as he is associated with activities such as education of the children of weaker sections along with the families and helps them get medical facilities, employment, and their due rights. Held the post of Manager and Chairman in several Educational Institutions and participated in Cultural programs etc.
