He was born on 3 February 2001 (age 20 according to 2021) in Ratanpur village, Khargone district, Madhya Pradesh, India. His father’s name is Veer Bahadur Singh (a farmer and a landlord) and his mother’s name is Hema Tomar. He grew up with two elder sisters named Tanvi Ajit Singh Kushwah and Apurva Tomar. His religion belongs to Hinduism and nationality, Indian. His height is 173cm, 1.73m, 5 feet, and 8 inches and his weight is 65kg, in pounds 134 lbs. Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar is one of the youngest athletes of India as he picked up interest in shooting when he was young after he was inspired by his cousin Navdeep Singh Tomar. He learned about shooting from his cousin. Navdeep was part of the Indian contingent that participated in the 2010 Youth Olympics at the age of 14. Aishwary’s shooting began to take a turn after Coach Suma Shirur joined the shooting academy and took him under her wings. Between 2016-2018, he took part and won medals in state competitions and junior nationals before paving his way into National Camp.
The year 2019 saw Aishwary making his mark in the shooting world as he went on to win more medals. He won the bronze medal in the Asian Airgun Championship in Taoyuan, Taiwan in the junior 10m Air Rifle event. Then he won the Gold medal at the ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl in the 50m rifle 3 positions. He won the bronze medal in the 50m rifle 3 positions event at the Asian Shooting Championships in Doha, Germany. Tomar shot a score of 1171 to finish fourth in the qualification round, ten points behind top-ranked Chinese shooter Changhong Zhang. He also won the bronze medal in the 50m rifle 3 positions team event in Suhl, Germany then he qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Aishwarya has become the youngest Indian shooter to have qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in the 50m rifle three positions category. He has been awarded Eklavya Award by the Government of Madhya Pradesh on National Sports Day in 2019.
