Afzal Ansari is a famous Indian politician, Agriculturist, and Member of Parliament since 2004. He was born on 14 August 1953 (age 68 years according to 2021) in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, India. His father’s name is Shri Subhanullah Ansari and his mother’s name is Smt. Begum Rabia. Afzal Ansari comes from a family of illustrious Freedom Fighters, Politicians, Soldiers, and Barristers. His educational qualification is Post Graduation from the University of Gorakhpur. His religion belongs to Islam and nationality, Indian. He married Farhat Ansari and was blessed with 3 daughters. Although he belongs to a family of Politicians, Soldiers and Barristers so he was always part of the political world. He started his political career with the Communist Party of India and was elected to Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly for five terms continuously (1985 to 2002). After that, he joined Samajwadi Party and contested the Lok Sabha general election in 2004 in which he won the ticket by a margin of 226,777 votes. In the same year, he became the Member of the Committee on Chemicals & Fertilizers, Member of Consultative Committee, Ministry of Railways, and Member of Central Haj Committee of India. In 2019, Ansari joined Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and contested the general election in Gazipur as he won the seat and became the 17th Lok Sabha member from Ghazipur. Sidewise the Organized events like `Holi Milan`, `Id Milan` and `Kavi-Sammelans`, and `Mushairas` to promote social and communal harmony, encouraging the establishment of educational institutions, especially for the girl child, Organized poor and weaker sections of the society and making them socially and politically aware and awakening people of every caste, society, section, and creed to maintain harmony holding the national interest supreme. He is also the Founder and Manager of the M.A. Ansari Girls Inter College, Yusufpur, Mohammadabad, Ghazipur.
