He was born on 25 Oct 1948 (age 73 years according to 2021) in North Mopur, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, India. His father’s name is Shri Adala Shankar Reddy and his mother’s name is Smt. Adala Susheela Amma. His educational qualification is Inter/Higher Secondary. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He married Smt. Adala Vindyavali on 09 Mar 1974 and has two daughters.
Adala Prabhakara Reddy started his political career as a candidate for the Indian National Congress in 1998. He was first elected to the Member of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly for consecutive three terms. In between, he was appointed to the Minister of Housing, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Chairperson of Assurance Committee, Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, and Chairperson of Public Undertakings, Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. After Indian National Congress, he joined Telugu Desam Party, and later he joined YSR Congress Party. In May 2019, he was elected to the 17th Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Parliament of India from Nellore, Andhra Pradesh in the 2019 Indian general election with which he was made a member of the Standing Committee on Housing and Urban Affairs and member of Consultative Committee, Ministry of Railways.
