Nilima Rani Samanta. His educational qualification is M.Sc. (Chemistry), Ph.D. from Utkal University, KIIT University, Odisha. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. Dr. Achyuta Samanta started his career as a chemistry lecturer in the Maharshi College under Utkal University in Bhubaneswar for a decade-long. He is best known as a Founder of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences. He is also the founder, ex-chancellor, and secretary of KIIT University. He has been honored with many awards like Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Award, Moscow, Russia – 2014, Visista Puraskar from 24th Annual Awards – 2014, Jawaharlal Nehru Award, 2012–2012, Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar (Lifetime Achievement Award) at 4th National Teachers’ Congress by MIT World Peace University, Pune – 2020 and many more. After that, he took his feet into the political world as a candidate of Biju Janata Dal and was first elected to the Member of Rajya Sabha for 2018-19. In May 2019, he was elected to 17th Lok Sabha from Kandhamal (Odisha) Constituency with which he was made a member of Standing Committee on External Affairs, member of Committee of Privileges, member of Standing Committee on Railways, and member of Consultative Committee, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers.
