Talking about her personal life, she was born in Tamil Brahmin family on 27 October 1977. From her childhood days itself, she was very fond of singing and has trained in classical singing as well. She has done her college and schooling in Bangalore. She has passed out from Cluny convent school and has done graduation from Mount Caramel College and her the nuisances of music from her grandmother Indira Das. She is married to her friend Roberto Narain who is a drummer.
She forayed in the field of acting with movie Hey Ram in which she starred opposite Kamal Hassan who is a southern superstar. The film was great to hit and made Vasundhara quite popular among the masses of the country. Her next release was the Malayalam film named Raavan Prabhu in which she starred opposite Mohan Lal which was yet again a great hit.
