Dharma Teja Jasti known as Teja was born on 22 February 1966 in Chennai, India, an Indian Cinematographer turned director who works in Telugu cinema as well as Bollywood. His directed hit movies are Chitram, Nuvvu Nenu, Jayam and Nijam with Mahesh Babu. He has won many state Nandi Awards and also Filmfare for Best Director for Nuvvu Nenu. In 1992, Teja debuted as a cinematographer with Ram Gopal Verma’s bilingual movie Raat, for this he won Best Cinematographer Nandi Award. In his career as a cinematographer, he has done many fabulous works such as Baazi, Ghulam, Sangharsh, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hain. Krodh, Krishna and many more. His parents are Jasti Balaram Krishna and Jasti rani. His father was an industrialist based in Tokyo, Japan. Teja did much work whatever work comes in his way he used to do that. But destiny played its role and he ended up working in the Tamil film industry. He used to do assignments for National Geographic Channel. Later on also joined Bollywood. Teja has a son named Aurov Teja, who died on 19 March 2011 due to prolonged illness from breathing and cerebral palsy. Aurov was also taken to China, New York, United States for medical conditions.
