Syed Saba Karim better was known as Saba Karim is former Indian cricket player. He took birth on 14th November 1967 in Patna, Bihar. Saba was a right-handed batsman and a wicket-keeper. Saba Karim started his cricket career for Bihar team at the early age of 15 during 1982 to 1983 after finishing his schooling.
He completed his school education from St. Xavier's High School, Patna. During 1990 to 1991 in Ranji Trophy, he made his career best score of 234 runs against Orissa. He was selected for Indian cricket team in 1996-1997 as a replacement for Nayan Mongia in Standard Bank Series where Saba scores 55 runs in the first match and 38 runs in the second match.
Saba Karim got eye injury while keeping against Bangladesh in May 2000 ended his playing career. He also played one Test match against Bangladesh in November 2000.
He played a total of 34 ODI matches and one test match. He scored a total of 362 runs in 34 ODI and 15 runs in a test career.
Karim was appointed as the national selector of East Zone on 27th September 2012. Saba Karim opened a cricket academy named as Saba Karim Cricket Academy in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
