Mukesh Rishi is an Indian actor was born on 19 April 1956 in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, India. Mukesh was the first person in his family to try his luck in the world of cinema. After his graduation from Chandigarh and he worked for 2 years in the stone-crushing business in Mumbai and then Mukesh went to work in Fiji where he met his wife Fijian-Indian descent. Her family ran a traditional departmental store. After their marriage, they went to New Zealand, where Mukesh started his career as a model. But Mukesh could hardly time for modelling due to his busy schedule and was dissatisfied with his modelling assignments. After seven years, Mukesh and his wife returned to Mumbai and enrolled himself in Roshan Taneja’s acting school.
Mukesh worked primarily in Hindi films till 2001 and since then primarily in Telugu cinema, he also appeared in Malayalam, Punjabi and Tamil films. Mukesh got his first break in Hindi in 1988 and has since, established himself as a leading character actor. Although Rishi started his career in film as a Villain, he has diversified into positive roles. He joins a list of non-Telugu speaking actors, such as Amrish Puri, Puneet Issar, Sharat Saxena and Pradeep Rawat who have been playing the role of the Villain in Telugu films.
Mukesh, best known for his character Bulla from the film Gunda in 1988, says that the new crop of Villains in Bollywood has no position in the film industry. There are no bad guys like the ones we seen in the past on Bollywood anymore. The Villains earlier had a position in the industry and their role was highlighted 0very well in the film, Rishi also acted in Salman Khan’s movie Garv as a Zafar Supari in 2004, says that films are uncompleted without the presence of bad guys.
