Mini Menon, a famous Indian journalist was born in Jammu. Hers was a Malayali family belonging to Kerala. Her childhood and teenage was spent all over across India because her father (Lt. Gen P E Menon) was in army and had postings in different states of India. Mini did her graduation in History from St. Stephens college, Delhi. She persuaded her Masters in Communication Research from University of Pune.  She also won the Chevening scholarship in 2001 and studied Broadcast journalism in UK. After completing her second year in college she participated and won the crown for Femina Miss India Asia Pacific in 1996. Instead of having a career in Bollywood and showbiz, she persuaded her career in journalism.

Her career started in June 2000, she was an anchor for prime time shows and covered news on business and politics on CNBC TV18. After working for CNBC TV18, she became News Editor for Times Now. In 2007, she joined Bloomberg tv India, where she is currently an Executive Editor. Though being for 16 years in her profession, she is still one of the hottest news Anchor in India. She has been honored with Best business news anchor(2009), Best documentary award(2010), Best feature award(2011), Best feature award(2012). She is among top 10 most influential people in Indian media, marketing and advertising. Mini Menon is also known as an author for her book ‘Riding the Wave’ launched in 2013.
