Manohar Gopal Krishna Prabhu Parrikar was born on 13th December 1955 is a politician from BJP who became Chief Minister of Goa on 14 March 2017. From 2000 – 2005, he was Chief Minister of Goa and then he again became the Chief Minister of Goa from 2012 – 2014. Parrikar worked from 2014 to 2017 as a Defence Minister of India, was also a former member of Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh.
He is a married man, the name of his wife Medha Parrikar, but she died of Cancer in 2001. They both have two sons – Utpal and Abhijat Parrikar, Utpal is an Electrical Engineering and Abhijat is a local businessman. He won CNN-IBN Indian of the Year in Politics category in 2012. From 9 November 2014 – 13 March 2017 he was Minister of Defence, then from 28 August 2017 he was in Assumed Office, then from 28 November 2014 – 2 September 2017, he was Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha for Uttar Pradesh.
