Jaya Bhaduri aka Jaya Bhaduri Bachchan was born on 9th April 1948 in Madhya Pradesh, India. She is 69 years old evergreen beauty. Jaya was born to father Taroon Kumar Bhaduri, he was a writer, journalist and also a stage artist, and mother Indira Bhaduri, her family was Bengali Hindu Family. She did her schooling at St. Joseph’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, Bhopal.
In 1966, Jaya was awarded as Best All-India N. C. C. Cadet Award during Republic Day celebrations. Jaya Bhaduri married Amitabh Bachchan on 3rd June 1973, the couple has two children, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, who is married to Nikhil Nanda, he is an Industrialist, she has two children Navya Naveli and Agastya Nanda, Abhishek Bachchan, who is married to Aishwarya Rai, the couple has a daughter named Aaradhya Bachchan.
Jaya made her debut with a Bengali Movie named Mahanagar as Bani in 1963, after this she made her bollywod debut with movie Guddi as Kusum/ Guddi, and got nominated for Filmfare Best Actress Award, in same year she did 2 more movies in Dhanni Meye as Monasha, a Bengali film and in Uphaar as Mrinmayi/ Meenu, and again got nominted for Filmfare Best Actress Award, in 1972 Jaya did back to back 11 hindi movies, in Bawarchi as Krishna Sharma, in Parichay as Rama, in Bansi Birju as Bansi, in Piya Ka Ghar as Malti, in Annadata, in Ek Nazar as Shabnam, in Samadhi, in Koshish as Aarti Mathur, and got nominated for Filmfare Best Actress Award, she won audiences appreciation as well critics also loved her performance, in Shor as Raat Ki Rani/ Rani, in Jai Jawan Jai Makan.
For the year 1973, she took some break and did only 5 movies, in Gaai aur Gori as Neeta Thakur, in Anamika as Anamika/Kanchan/ Archana, in Phagun as Krishna Sharma, in Zanjeer as Mala, this movie was a blockbuster hit, her best movie with Amitabh Bachchan is Abhimaan as Uma Kumar, and finally she won the Filmfare Best Actress Award, after this couple got married and started their new life together, after her marriage her first movie was Aahat in 1974, in same year she did 4 more movies, in Dil Diwana, in Kora Kagaz as Archana Gupta, again she won Filmfare Best Actress Award, in Naya Din Nai rat, in Doosri Sita, with every movie, Jaya was giving her best, in 1975, she did 3 movies, in Mili as Mili Khanna, for her role she got nominated for Filmfare Best Actress Award, in Chupke Chupke as Vasudha Kumar, and her careers biggest blockbuster Sholay, where she played the role of Radha, Sholay did record breaking business on box office, and it became the biggest hit till now, she did only one movie named as Abhi To Jee Lein as jaya, she took some break.
Next year in 1978 she again did only 1 movie Ek Baap Chhe Bete, after this she started to do few movies,in 1979 in Nauker as Geeta , and won Filmfare Best Actress Award, in 1981 she did Silsila as Shobha Malhotra opposite Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha, it’s said that the film was based on the life of Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha and Jaya Bachchan, and she got nominated for role for Filmfare Best Actress Award, in 1995. Jaya made a special appearance in a Marathi movie named Akka, in 1998 she did one movie named Hazaar Chaurasi ki as Sujata Chatterji, from 2000 to 2016 she did 12 movies, her upcoming movie in 2018 is Hera Pheri 3. Jaya Bachchan was first elected in 2004 as a Samajwadi Party member of Parliament, represented Rajya Sabha till March 2006. From June 2006 till July 2010, she was elected for second term and in 2012, she re-elected for third term.
