The Governor of Gujarat is Om Prakash Kohli who entered the office on 16th July 2014. Om Prakash Kohli was a former member of Rajya Sabha and he was also the president of Delhi unit of the BJP party in 1999-2000. He served as the Rajya Sabha member from 1994 to 2000. He has been the president of the Delhi University teachers Association and of the ABVP.
