Bahra University is situated in Waknaghat, Distt. Solan, Himachal Pardesh (H.P.). Bahra University has been a private State university. It came into existence by Act No. 2 of 2011 of State Legislature of Himachal Pardesh. Under section 22 of the UGC Act 1956 Bahra University has been notified by the UGC. The university is empowered by the UGC and awards degrees to the students vide letter F.No. 8-34/2011 (CPP-I/PU) dated 8th July 2011. Bahra University is one of the fastest growing university in North India. Bahra University is a venture of Rayat&Bahra Group. The Chancellor of Bahra University is Sh. Gurvinder Singh Bahra. The Vice Chancellor of Bahra University is Prof(Dr.) S.K. Bansal.
Bahra University offers undergraduates and postgraduates programs to students. The programs which are being offered by the university are B.Tech, M.tech, BBA, MBA, B.Sc., Master in Hospitality & Tourism Administration, B.Pharma, M.Pharma and BA LLB. The facilities which are provided by the university are Library, Computer Centre, Labs, Hostel, Sports, Medical Centre, Transport, Gym, Banking, Mess and Mestaurant.
