Aadil Hussain is an Indian actor who born on 5 October 1963. He was born in Asam. His father was a teacher. He acted in his school plays. He left his house in age of 18 for study Philosophy at B. Borooah College in Guwahati. Then he started acting in College plays. In College, he also mimicked Bollywood actors. He worked as a comedian for seven years. Then he moved to Drama Studio London on a Charles Wallace India Trust Scholarship. After that he returned to India in 1994 and joined with the mobile Hengul Theatre.
As an actor he first appeared in Edinburgh Fringe awarded play Othello: A Play in Black and White. In the year 2004, he made his Bengali debut film Iti Srikanta alongside Soha Ali Khan. In 2002-2003, he appeared in the Television serial Jasoos Vijay as a lead role produced by BBC World Service Trust. Then he played a short role in several films like Kaminey, Ishqiya and Agent Vinod. In the year 2012, he appeared in two Italian films The Reluctant Fundamentalist and Life of Pi.
In the same year, he appeared in the comedy-drama film English Vinglish alongside Shri Devi. The film got positive reviews from the critics. After that, he appeared in two films Bombay Most Wanted and Sunrise. His next film was Lootera starred by Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh in which he played a role of an Inspector K.N. Sing. The film was directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. In 2014, he worked in the film Raag: The Rhythm of Love in which portrayal of Iqbal. In the same year, he signed two films as a lead role Sringkhal and Rodor Sithi. He also worked in the films Kaanchi: The Unbreakable, The Xpose and Tigers.
In 2015, he appeared in several Hindi, English, Bengali, Tamil and Marathi films. In the year 2016, he appeared in the action thriller Force 2 which was directed by Abhinav Rao starred by John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha. His Assamese film of 2016 was Kothanodi. In the year 2017, he did his next Hindi films like Commando 2: The Black Money Trail, Mukti Bhawan, Sonia Mantra, Dobaara: See Your Evil, Kabuliwaala. 2.0 and Naval Enna.
